Animated 3D Widescreen Screensavers

In most cases the screensavers' default settings will be just fine. However, computer video\graphics cards are not all the same. Some have less memory than others, and you may find that you will get a smoother animation by reducing some of the video options of your screensaver. ALSO, make sure you've downloaded the latest drivers for your video\graphics card from its manufacturer.

The following screensaver dialog screens are examples only, and your dialog screens may differ, depending on which screensaver you have.

Click on the Settings button

You will then see a dialog screen similar to the following. You can untick High texture quality, which might improve the animation smoothness, with not much loss of picture quality. Also, if your picture looks a little elongated (or otherwise a bit odd), you may select your Monitor aspect ratio as shown. Selecting 16:9 or 16:10 usually takes care of elongation issues.

Here is another example, with somewhat different controls. You might improve animation smoothness by unticking High textrue quality and Advanced visual effects and Shadows.

Other dialog screen examples from other screensavers will have similar adjustable video controls for picture quality.
